The magical OSLO fjord photoshoot!

That this fairytale of a photoshoot happened is a miracle after all the obstacles put in our way, – but we kept believing and pushing despite rainy, cold days and in return we got a day full of the most magical sunshine. It really turned out to be WHAT every bride could only dream of, – and what creating wedding dresses is all about – to see them shine in the setting they are designed for!! Well we were missing the groom, but that’s a minor detail..

I feel so delighted and happy about this shoot, proving to ourselves we can come together and do anything we put our hearts to! The universe and our strength delivered a powerful result with PIIL Photography taking the lead, capturing such precious moments of table setting, flower decoration, the sea and city backdrop and, of course, – the most gorgeous dresses!

The shoot originally came together from a desire to gather local suppliers to inspire brides to create their own modern and unique mood outside traditional wedding surroundings. Weddings today are becoming more and more personal, inspirational and informal. Especially smaller weddings are a strong, natural trend influenced by the world we live in today. I contacted many suppliers for a collaboration, and together with Amanda in Bryllupsglede, we made our vision come to life. Without her hard work, experience and positivity it would have truly been impossible!

I had in mind nordic nature and outstanding elegance in every way. We – Norwegians – are lucky, living so close to the sea and the city, so to use the Oslo fjord as a location was a great idea. Amanda with her sense of style and wide network knew the most amazing electric catamaran that hosts small parties and takes trips in the fjords, – BRIM explorer. IT was perfectly luxurious, fresh and innovative just the way we pictured!

With lush flowers and headpieces from talented Ro & Raff, the mood became even more detailed and refined. We set a beautiful table with design & wedding stationary from Bryllupsglede, tableware from Backe Grensen, and the most stunning cake from Soulcake that tastes even better than it looks.

Our star model Yasmin came through at the last minute, and our little flower girl Noelle was delighted to buss around the boat all day! Styled by SomCecilie with diamonds from Thune, – the girls were shining as bright as the sunshine that day! It was the last warm day of this fall as snow arrived the next morning, covering all of Oslo in a white blanket.

We really made it!!
